Forest Knolls Neighborhood Organization - FKNO
Serving and improving the FOREST KNOLLS neighborhood since 1960.
Forest Knolls is a great San Francisco neighborhood on the west side.
It is bordered by 7th Ave. and the Sunset neighborhoods on the west, and by Clarendon and the Twin Peaks neighborhoods to the east. The neighborhood is situated on the south slopes of Mt. Sutro (918’ one of the highest places to live in the city). It was largely developed for housing in the 1960s. Though the architecture is similar throughout the curving streets, the area is rich in geologic history, exceptional views, and urban hiking trails.
